Goodwell, OK - In a hard-fought doubleheader clash, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions squared off against Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) in a Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) showdown on Friday afternoon in Goodwell, Oklahoma.
Game 1
Game one saw the Lady Lions put up a valiant effort but ultimately fall short, succumbing to OPSU with a final score of 9-4. Sasha Jennings, Hailey Ledbetter, McKenzie Schulze, Brooke Kinnibrugh, Cadence Hopgood, Abigail Muniz, and Madyson Wiggins showcased their offensive prowess, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Despite a solid performance on the mound by Trista Ford and Annie Charanza, OPSU emerged victorious.
Game 2
In Game two, SAGU faced another tough challenge as OPSU claimed a commanding 14-5 victory. Despite contributions from players like Sasha Jennings, Makinzy Kneip, Trista Ford, McKenzie Schulze, Brooke Kinnibrugh, Cadence Hopgood, McKenzie Lara, and Myranda Lewis, the Lady Lions couldn't overcome OPSU's early offensive onslaught. Natalie Zamora, Macie Blizzard, and Aracelie Mares battled on the mound, but OPSU's hitting proved too much to handle.
