Oklahoma City, OK - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions faced off against formidable opponents, Our Lady of the Lake University and Bethel College, in a doubleheader showdown at the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic in Oklahoma City. Despite their valiant efforts, the Lady Lions couldn't secure victories in either contest, falling short in both matchups.

In their first game of the day, the Lady Lions battled fiercely against Our Lady of the Lake University but ultimately succumbed to a 5-2 defeat. Miranda Lewis and Makinzy Kneip showcased their offensive prowess, with Lewis going 1-for-3 at the plate and scoring a run, while Kneip contributed a double and two RBIs. Despite their efforts, pitcher Annie Charanza couldn't stave off the opposition, conceding four earned runs over six innings.
Undeterred by their earlier loss, the Lady Lions entered the second game ready to bounce back against Bethel College. However, they faced another setback, falling short once again in a 5-2 defeat. Sasha Jennings led the offensive charge with an impressive 4-for-4 performance, adding a run to the scoreboard. Myranda Lewis and McKenzie Schulze also contributed to the effort, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Pitcher Natalie Zamora showcased her prowess on the mound, tallying five strikeouts over seven innings, but ultimately couldn't prevent the opposition from claiming victory.

Looking ahead, the Lady Lions remain determined as they prepare for their upcoming conference doubleheader against the University of Science and Arts (Okla.) on March 8th on their home turf at the Lions Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, Texas.
