SAGU Lady Lions Encounter Tough Battles Against Central Christian Tigers

McPherson, KS - The SAGU Lady Lions embarked on a competitive journey as they clashed with the Central Christian College Tigers in a thrilling doubleheader showdown. Despite showcasing determination and skill, the Lady Lions faced narrow defeats in both encounters, wrapping up the series on a challenging note.

 

Game 1 
In a closely contested battle, the Lady Lions fell short in a 4-3 loss to Central Christian. Cadence Hopgood and McKenzie Schulze led the offensive charge, each delivering impressive performances with doubles and key RBIs. Madyson Wiggins and Trista Ford also made notable contributions, highlighting the team's depth and resilience. Despite a valiant effort on the mound from Natalie Zamora and Annie Charanza, the Lady Lions couldn't secure the win in the opening game.

 

Game 2
The second game brought another tough challenge for the Lady Lions, resulting in a narrow 5-4 loss. McKenzie Schulze, Sasha Jennings, and Cadence Hopgood continued to shine, displaying their offensive prowess with crucial hits and runs. Trista Ford showcased her resilience in the pitcher's circle, battling through six innings despite the relentless pressure from the Tigers' lineup.

The Lady Lions remain determined as they prepare to face Wayland Baptist University (Texas) on April 19th at 2:00 PM at the Lions Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, TX.
