Waxahachie, TX - The Lion Athletic Complex in Waxahachie, Texas witnessed an intense doubleheader showdown as the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lady Lions clashed against Wayland Baptist University (WBU) in the final installment of their Sooner Athletic Conference series.

Game 1
In a tough battle, the Lady Lions fell short in a 9-0 defeat against Wayland. Sasha Jennings, Trista Ford, Cadence Hopgood, McKenzie Schulze, Makinzy Kneip, and Madyson Wiggins showcased their prowess at the plate, each contributing a hit. Despite their efforts, Macie Blizzard faced a challenging outing on the mound, yielding six earned runs over 3.2 innings. Annie Charanza provided relief but couldn't stem the tide, allowing three earned runs.

Game 2
The Lions fought hard but ultimately succumbed to an 8-2 loss against Wayland. Sasha Jennings led the offensive charge, going 2 for 2 and crossing home plate once. Trista Ford and Cadence Hopgood also made their mark, while McKenzie Schulze and Makinzy Kneip displayed solid hitting performances. Despite their efforts, Valerie Guzman struggled on the mound, giving up seven earned runs over 3.2 innings. Aracelie Mares stepped in for relief but couldn't halt Wayland's momentum, conceding an earned run.
