Goodwell, OK – The Nelson University Lady Lions extended their winning streak in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) with a thrilling 3-1 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State University on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Lions displayed resilience and strong team coordination to remain undefeated in SAC play, now boasting a 6-0 conference record.

The match began as a closely fought contest, with Nelson narrowly edging out Oklahoma Panhandle State 26-24 in the first set. The Lady Lions hit .143 compared to Oklahoma's .171, but their key points came at the perfect moments to secure the win.
In the second set, Nelson found their rhythm, surging ahead with a commanding 25-14 victory, boosted by their improved attack percentage of .265. Despite a setback in the third set, where Oklahoma claimed a 25-18 victory, the Lady Lions bounced back in dominant fashion. Nelson crushed their opponents in the fourth and final set, 25-19, swinging an impressive .438 hitting percentage.
Nelson amassed a total of 51 kills and 13 aces throughout the match, compared to Oklahoma Panhandle's 39 kills and 7 aces. The Lady Lions also outperformed their opponents with 6 blocks, 50 assists, and 47 digs, providing a well-rounded team effort.\
