Waxahachie, TX – The RV Nelson University Lions turned up the heat at the Sheaffer Center on Saturday afternoon, dominating the UNT Dallas Trail Blazers 94-79 in an electric Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) showdown. With precision shooting and a relentless offensive attack, the Lions claimed their 15th win of the season in front of a packed crowd.
The Lions set the tone early, racing to a 55-42 halftime lead fueled by a red-hot shooting performance. Nelson drained 10-of-14 three-pointers and dished out an impressive 16 assists in the first half alone. Micah Clark, JJ Boling, and CJ Hall each tallied 11 points before the break, showcasing a balanced offensive effort that overwhelmed UNT Dallas.
In the second half, Nelson maintained their composure, extending their lead to as many as 21 points. While the Trail Blazers fought valiantly, the Lions' efficiency at the free-throw line and dominance in transition sealed the victory.
