Kylie Adams of Nelson University has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Women's Cross Country Division I Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of October 20, 2025. The Tyler, Texas native delivered a standout performance at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, completing the 6,000-meter race in a time of 24:38.6, averaging a 6:36-mile pace, and placing 264th in a large and competitive field of collegiate runners.
In addition to her individual success, Adams helped Nelson achieve a school-record team time at the event, a milestone that highlights the steady rise of the program and the consistent improvement shown by its student-athletes.
Adams becomes the latest Lion to earn national recognition, continuing the momentum of Nelson's cross country program as it competes among the nation's best.
