Waxahachie, TX | December 3, 2025 — In a season defined by resilience, growth, and high-level competition across the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Nelson University Lions football program saw seven of its standouts recognized on the 2025 SAC All-Conference awards list. The selections highlight a roster that fought weekly battles against some of the most explosive offenses and physical defenses in the league and still produced individual excellence on both sides of the ball.
Wide receiver Zach Fuller earned First Team All-SAC honors, capping off a breakout season in which he became Nelson's most dynamic offensive weapon. Fuller finished the year with over 600 receiving yards and eight touchdowns, consistently stretching defenses and delivering momentum-shifting plays when the Lions needed them most.
Two Lions landed on the Second Team All-SAC, showcasing the program's talent in the trenches and on the perimeter:
-
AJ Shields, a powerful and reliable guard, anchored Nelson's offensive line with consistency and toughness in one of the nation's most physical conferences.
-
Amin White, the dynamic cornerback and return specialist, earned his spot through lockdown coverage, fiery competitiveness, and a knack for creating problems in space. White recorded four interceptions on the season and added major value as both a punt and kick returner.
Nelson's depth was further recognized with four players named Honorable Mention All-SAC, representing the future core of the program:
-
Judah Holtzclaw, quarterback, threw for over 2,000 yards and added 17 touchdowns, showcasing leadership and toughness.
-
Brandon Clark, wide receiver emerged as a reliable big-play target with 490 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
-
Juan Neaves, tackle, provided stability and grit along the offensive front.
-
Johnathan Bloom, inside linebacker and one of Nelson's defensive anchors, finished with 65 tackles, an interception, and multiple impact plays that set the tone each week.
Seven Lions earning SAC recognition underscores the competitive spirit running through the Nelson locker room. As the program continues to climb and build toward championship-level consistency, these all-conference honorees represent the heart of that rise. Nelson's future remains bright, and this year's award winners have set the standard for the seasons to come.
