Waxahachie, TX – The Nelson University Lady Lions turned the Lions Athletic Complex into a scoring stage on Saturday night, exploding for seven goals in a commanding 7–1 victory over the University of Dallas.

Nelson wasted no time putting the Crusaders on their heels. In the 21st minute, Daisy Ruiz buried the opener with a composed finish to spark the offense. Minutes later, Ruiz turned provider, setting up Mackenzie Gonzalez for a clinical strike to double the lead. The first-half onslaught continued as Anna Stovall and Samantha Delgado each found the net, sending the Lady Lions into the break with a 4–0 cushion.

Dallas briefly found a lifeline in the 51st minute when Bella Trousset scored off a Kaitlyn Munguia assist. But Nelson quickly slammed the door. Azucena Garcia scored twice in the final 15 minutes, showing her strength in the box, while Daisy Altamirano added a goal of her own in the 80th minute to put the finishing touches on the rout.

Nelson dominated the stat sheet, outshooting Dallas 37–3 with 20 shots on frame. The Lady Lions also earned five corner kicks and forced the Crusader keepers into 13 saves.

Now, the Lady Lions shift back to SAC play. They'll travel to McPherson, Kansas, on Saturday, September 27, at 1:00 PM to face Central Christian College in a key conference matchup.
