McPherson, KS – The reigning Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Daisy Altamirano, delivered again in spectacular fashion. Her two late goals sealed a dominant 3–0 victory for the Nelson University Lady Lions over Central Christian College on Saturday, Sept. 27.

From the opening whistle, Nelson dictated the pace. The Lions peppered the Central Christian defense with 20 first-half shots, finally breaking through in the 31st minute when Stephanie Hernandez netted a goal assisted by Makenna Lunsford. That strike gave Nelson a 1–0 cushion heading into halftime.

In the closing stages, Altamirano showed why she's one of the most dangerous players in the SAC. The forward scored in the 87th minute off a setup from Ruth Mollel, then buried her second less than three minutes later on a feed from Daisy Ruiz. With six shots on goal and relentless pressure, she proved nearly unstoppable all afternoon.

While the attack flourished, Nelson's back line and goalkeeper Delaney Murphy ensured there were no openings for Central Christian. The Lady Lions didn't allow a single shot on goal, outshooting their opponent 42–3 and owning a 13–1 edge in corner kicks.
