Waxahachie, TX | May 4, 2026 — Fresh off a historic weekend at the Lions Athletic Complex, the Nelson University men's and women's track & field programs have been rewarded for their dominance, earning widespread recognition in the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) All-Conference selections.
The honors follow a milestone achievement for the Lions, as both programs captured SAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the first time in school history. It was a statement performance from start to finish. three days of relentless competition.
The Nelson men powered their way to the title with 141 total points, asserting control across multiple events. On the women's side, it came down to the wire, as the Lions edged out Oklahoma City in a dramatic finish, 131–130, sealing one of the most thrilling victories in program history.
Now, the conference has stamped its recognition.
