Fort Worth, TX – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Men's Soccer team played Tuesday night against a tough Texas Wesleyan team. The game started slow for the Lions but they were able to bounce back with some scoring opportunities. The game remained scoreless until the second half when Texas Wesleyan scored a well-placed PK. The Lions managed to get in behind Texas Wesleyan a few times with nothing to show for it. Then Jadhel hill received a ball from the right side of the field and went 1v1 against their goalkeeper which resulted in the Lions first and only goal. The game kept escalating with scoring opportunities from both sides but neither team was able to connect. The game went into extra time where the Lions lost the battle in the last 15 seconds of the game. The final score was 2-1.
