Waxahachie, TX – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Men's basketball team played cross town rival Texas Wesleyan University (TWU) Tuesday night. A second half push for the Lions put them over the top against TWU. The first half was a back and forth game with TWU going up 3 points at the half 48-45. The Lions came out in the second half and scored 54 points to win the game 99-85. The hot shooting has helped the Lions down the stretch and the game today was no different. The Lions shot 51% from the field and 48% from the three-point line. The Lions have won six in a row; they sit at 8-1 on the season.

• Joshua Kashila (SR/ Euless, TX) had an all-around solid. He scored 21 point and added 6 assists and 4 rebounds  
• Joel Polius (SR/ Castries, St Lucia) finished the game with 15 points and 7 rebounds. His presence in the paint is dominant.
• Noah Boling (SO/ Van Alstyne, TX) is the floor general for the Lions. Tonight, he contributed 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
