Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) softball team hosted University of Southwest in a midweek doubleheader. In the first game, the Lady Lions won against University of the Southwest, 6-3.
Autumn Graham led things off in the circle, the righty lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out four. The Lady Lions had nine hits in the game;
Maddie Watson,
Cheyenne Fults, and
Sarah Sanders each had multiple hits.
Maddie Watson went 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and a single at the plate to lead the Lady Lions in hits. In the second game, the Lady Lions defeated University of the Southwest 10-2, thanks to a strong start.
Kassandra Vargas toed the rubber for the Lady Lions, the righthander allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out one. The Lady Lions saw the ball well, racking up ten hits in the game. Guadarrama, Sanders, and Teran all collected multiple hits for the Lady Lions.
