Lion Review

  • SAGU's men's soccer squad entered the match in hopes of securing their first win of the season.
  • During the first half of the game, SAGU's defense made a mistake that allowed Bethel College's attack to move the ball into open space and score.
  • In the second half of the game, Bethel College was successful in passing past SAGU's defense and scoring.
  • The home crowd was invigorated by Ted Okoroh's goal in the second half, but Bethal Collge's third and final goal ended the upsurge.

Oancea's Opinion

"I'm so proud of the boy's fight, effort, and the commitment to trust in each other and the process," SAGU men's soccer head coach Oancea said.

"This is a marathon, and in a very short time, the boys have shown that they are growing & learning that the character of a warrior will be watched and tested consistently. So proud of them and will continue to push to be better every game." Oancea went on to say.
