Kissimmee, FL - In a thrilling encounter at the Austin Tindall Sports Complex, the Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Lions faced off against the Roberts Wesleyan University (RWU) Redhawks in a high-stakes showdown to conclude their pool play in the D1 NCCAA National Championship Tournament on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions, seeded No. 9, battled fiercely but ultimately succumbed to the No. 6 seeded Redhawks, who emerged victorious with a commanding 3-0 win.

Lions Review
The Lions entered the contest with determination, led by the dynamic trio of Jose Rodriguez, Pedro Mattoso, and John Garcia, who spearheaded the offensive efforts with their aggressive and passionate play. Despite showcasing commendable ball movement, SAGU struggled to breach the Redhawks' defense and convert opportunities into scores. Notably, Isaiah Waddy's two spectacular shots on goal kept the Redhawks' defense alert throughout the match.

In the goalkeeper position, David Calvete Beltran exhibited skill and resilience, concluding the game with two crucial saves that prevented the Redhawks from extending their lead.
