Waxahachie, TX - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) proudly announces the selection of Stuart Dunn as the 2023-24 Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Athletic Trainer of the Year. In an impressive vote tally by his peers, Dunn has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to the athletic community.
In his 11th year at SAGU, Stuart Dunn, affectionately known as Stu, serves as the Director of Sports Medicine. His career is marked by servant leadership, professionalism, humility, and unwavering dedication. Stu's commitment to the athletic department and his holistic approach to sports medicine have made him an invaluable asset to SAGU. His peers and athletes alike hold him in high esteem, and his recent accolade further cements his status as a SAGU hero.
Athletic Director, Dr. Jesse Godding, stated, "The various ways that Stuart impacts our campus are inestimable. He leads his area with diligence and professionalism. His contributions to the remainder of the campus and his willingness to serve the SAGU community are commendable. He is deserving of this award and I congratulate him for this recognition."
