Waxahachie, TX - The Nelson University Lions football team is thrilled to announce the addition of two new coaches to its staff: Brian Garrison as the Offensive Line Coach and Jaylon Jackson as the Wide Receivers Coach. These experienced and passionate coaches are set to bring fresh perspectives and valuable expertise to the team.
Brian Garrison: Offensive Line Coach
Brian Garrison joins the Lions after a distinguished career in public school teaching and coaching. With extensive experience as both a head coach and a position coach, Garrison is well-equipped to lead the offensive line. His wealth of knowledge and strategic insights will undoubtedly enhance the performance of the offensive front. However, it is his commitment to the spiritual growth of his players that truly sets him apart. "Everything in football starts up front," Head Coach Jared Hudgins remarked. "Having the opportunity to work closely with our offensive line and contribute to their spiritual development will make us a better team overall."
Jaylon Jackson: Wide Receivers Coach
Jaylon Jackson comes to Nelson University after an impressive year at East Texas Baptist, where he coached an All-American receiver in his debut season. A former standout player at Cedar Hill High School and the University of Colorado, Jackson brings both enthusiasm and technical prowess to the wide receivers unit. His experience as a player at high levels of competition will be invaluable as he mentors and develops the Lions' receiving corps. "I'm excited to bring my energy to Nelson University," Jackson said. "Working with these talented receivers and helping them reach their full potential is a fantastic opportunity."
