Green Means Go: Trelin Green Earns SAC Offensive Player of the Week

Waxahachie, TX | December 15, 2025 — When the game demands control, calm, and creativity, Trelin Green delivers and the Sooner Athletic Conference took notice.

The floor general for the Nelson University Lions men's basketball team, Green has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after a scorching 2–0 stretch in which he averaged 21.5 points per game and eight assists, steering Nelson through a pair of statement conference victories with poise.

The week opened Thursday night inside the Sheaffer Center, where Green put on a masterclass. Fueled by a blistering first half and relentless downhill pressure, Nelson seized control early and never let go, powering past Southwestern Christian University 96–80. Green was everywhere slicing through gaps, collapsing defenses, and finishing plays pouring in a season-high 25 points while adding eight assists that kept the Lions' offense humming. His command of tempo bent the game to his will and set the tone from tip to final horn.

Two days later, the stage shifted to the road in Oklahoma City, but the result stayed the same. Against Oklahoma City University, Green orchestrated the offense with pace and precision, delivering 18 points and eight assists while consistently breaking down defenders and creating clean looks for teammates. Every possession felt intentional. Every read felt one step ahead.

"I have the best teammates in the world," Green said.
