Waxahachie, TX | December 15, 2025 —Trelin Green's impact is no longer just a conference storyline, it's now a national one.
The floor general for the Nelson University Lions men's basketball team has been named the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week, earning national recognition after a dominant two-game stretch that showcased his complete command of the game on both ends of the floor. Green averaged 21.5 points and eight assists per contest, guiding the Lions to a perfect 2–0 week against Sooner Athletic Conference opponents.
Green set the tone Thursday night in Waxahachie, delivering a season-best performance as Nelson powered past Southwestern Christian University 96–80. Playing with confidence and pace, Green poured in a season-high 25 points while dishing out eight assists, repeatedly breaking down the defense and creating high-quality looks for teammates. His constant pressure in the open floor and in ball-screen action kept the Lions in control from the opening tip.
The momentum carried into Saturday's road test at Oklahoma City University, where Green once again orchestrated the offense with precision. He followed with 18 points and eight assists, controlling tempo and spacing while calmly navigating every defensive look thrown his way. Whether scoring at the rim, knocking down timely shots, or setting the table for others, Green dictated the flow of the game from start to finish.
