Waxahachie, TX – The stage is set for a marquee weekend of volleyball as the No. 21 Nelson University Lady Lions return home to the Sheaffer Center to host the Texas Two Step Tournament, August 29–30.
The Lady Lions enter the weekend ranked No. 21 in the NAIA Top 25, carrying momentum from a solid showing at the Big Sky Challenge. This weekend also marks the first home games of the 2025 season for Nelson, giving fans their first chance to see the Lady Lions in action on their home floor.

All games will be played inside the Sheaffer Center on the Nelson University campus.

The Lady Lions, backed by a national ranking and the energy of their first home games of 2025, are ready to put on a show in front of the home crowd at the Texas Two Step Tournament.
Also as part of the weekend excitement, Nelson University will also be giving fans a chance to win big. During each home match of the Texas Two Step Tournament, four lucky fans will be selected to receive a $100 Nelson University Bookstore voucher. Fans can enter the drawing by scanning a QR code available at the gate and on the jumbotron
, and winners will be announced throughout the match. It's another reason to pack the Sheaffer
Center and cheer on the Lady Lions during their 2025 home debut.
