Waxahachie, TX | February 18, 2026 — Excellence at Nelson University isn't confined to the court. The Nelson University Women's Volleyball program has officially been recognized as an NCCAA Fall Scholar. Team, posting an impressive 3.59 team GPA for the Fall 2025 semester. The honor, awarded by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), recognizes programs that achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40 across their entire roster.
Among 88 scholar teams representing 44 institutions nationwide, Nelson Volleyball stood tall, showcasing what it truly means to embody the phrase student-athlete. Discipline in film sessions, grit in five-set battles, and long hours in the weight room were matched by focus in study halls, late-night assignments, and early-morning classes.
This recognition reflects more than numbers. It speaks to culture. Under the leadership of the coaching staff and with the commitment of every player in the locker room, Nelson Volleyball continues to prove that competitive greatness and academic excellence go hand-in-hand. The 3.59 team GPA is a testament to intentional mentorship, accountability, and the pursuit of growth in every arena.
Congratulations to the Lady Lions for representing Nelson University with distinction, integrity, and excellence.
