Box Score Waxahachie, TX – The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Volleyball team played against a very tough nationally ranked Texas Wesleyan team on Friday night. In a back and forth game, SAGU was able to cease the moment and win the final set 15-12. The Lady Lions played at a very high-level tonight and were able to come away with a victory against Texas Wesleyan who is ranked #22 in the NAIA. Tonight, was a special win for the program. Everything was clicking for the Lady Lions and the stars aligned for a huge upset. The chemistry was there for the Lady Lions as they look to pursue a conference championship and be contenders in the conference. The Lady Lions are now 3-1.
 
Notable Performers

• Aeriel Horton (SR/ Waxahachie, TX) had a career night. She led the Lady Lions with 19 kills and 28 digs
• Both setters were huge tonight. Riley Burcham (SO/ Georgetown, TX) contributed 25 assists and 17 digs. Tori Richard-Burns (FR/ N Richland Hills, TX) brought in 33 assists and 8 digs.  
• Abby Wells (FR/ Keller, TX) played a big part as well. She had 18 kills and hit.359
• Alexis Mealer (JR/ Arlington, TX) had 14 kills and 4 digs.
