San Antonio, TX – The Nelson University Lady Lions Volleyball team brought their trademark tenacity to the court during day two of the Alamo City Volleyesta on Saturday. Facing off against the formidable No. 3 ranked Eastern Oregon University in the morning and concluding the day with a spirited match against Huston-Tillotson University, the Lady Lions displayed resilience and heart.

Match Details
Set 1: The Lady Lions struggled to find their rhythm early, with Eastern Oregon dominating the first set 26-9. Despite the tough start, Nelson's Lilly Hanna and Samantha Moore each contributed with key blocks, trying to stem the tide.
Set 2: The second set saw a more focused Lady Lions team. Cassidy Hargesheimer's precise sets to Bailee Alexander and Lilly Hanna led to some powerful kills, bringing the score closer, and the Lady Lions edged them out 25-19.
Set 3: Nelson's defense stepped up with standout digs from Tessa Glick and Madison Petten, but Eastern Oregon's relentless attack was too much to handle as the Lady Lions dropped the set 15-25.
Set 4: In the final set, the Lady Lions fought valiantly with Bailee Alexander and Samantha Moore leading the charge at the net, but Eastern Oregon sealed the match with a 25-14 victory.
