Oklahoma City, OK - The Nelson University Lady Lions showcased their resilience and determination, defeating Mid-America Christian University (MACU) 3-1 in a thrilling Sooner Athletic Conference showdown on Friday afternoon. With this win, the Lady Lions improved their record to 6-4 (2-0 SAC), while MACU dropped to 4-3 (0-1 SAC).

The match opened with a strong challenge from MACU, who took the first set 25-20. However, the Lady Lions quickly regrouped, displaying impressive teamwork and execution to claim the next three sets. Their ability to bounce back under pressure, especially in tight moments, defined the contest. The final score read 20-25, 25-23, 25-21, and 25-21 in favor of the Lady Lions, reflecting the intensity of the match.

Nelson's victory was fueled by key performances on both sides of the net, with standout plays in kills, blocks, and digs. They controlled the tempo of the match with a commanding presence at the net and well-placed serves that kept MACU on their heels.

Samantha Moore was a force throughout, racking up a team-high 11 kills while adding 8 crucial blocks to her tally. She led the charge when the Lady Lions needed her most.
