Box Score Waxahachie, TX | Nov. 7, 2025 — The Nelson University Lady Lions started homecoming weekend in dominant fashion, sweeping Oklahoma Panhandle State University (25–18, 25–17, 25–17) inside the Sheaffer Center on Friday night.
From the opening serve, Nelson controlled the pace and rhythm of play, blending crisp execution with aggressive net play. The Lady Lions showcased balanced scoring and disciplined defense to secure their 21st win of the season, improving to 21–9 overall and 19–2 in SAC play.
Addison Standley was unstoppable, hammering home 12 kills on a scorching .450 hitting percentage, while Alexandra Bonnett added 7 kills and 6 digs, continuing her consistent two-way production.
Setter Taylor Cavazos orchestrated the attack with 15 assists and 12 digs, while Cassidy Hargesheimer and Maci Sons combined for five service aces to keep OPSU on their heels from the baseline.
Nelson's defense shined once again, limiting the Aggies to just a .150 hitting clip while holding them under 20 points in every set. The Lady Lions also racked up 56 digs as a team, with Chloe Muñoz (10 digs) leading the back-row effort.
