Box Score Waxahachie, TX: The Lady Lions volleyball team of Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) played Langston University in their inaugural conference-home match.
On the night of the ring ceremony recognizing the SAGU Lady Lions team who won the 2021 Sooner Athletic Tournament (SAC), the Langston Lions could not spoil the festivities.
SAGU (9-0, 1-0) defeated Langston University (5-3) in 3 sets, 25-18, 25-13, and 25-12

In set one, the Lady Lions got off to a quick 6-0 advantage, forcibly ordering Langston to take a breather.

A Langston service error sailed out of bounds thanks to Lindi Boling's keen eye, pushing the score 9-4, halting a slight Langston scoring run.

The final strike of the opening set came from a successful kill by Emma Tompkins.

When Ava Myers delivered a flying kill to make the score 18-10 in favor of SAGU in the second set, she enthralled the crowd.

In set three, the Langston Lions drew first blood.

Lilly Hanna and Karena Tipton disrupted Langston's rhythm with superior net protection and length.

The Lady Lions were leading 16-6 due to Riley Burcham's faultless serving.
