Waxahachie, TX - The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) is abuzz with excitement as their freshman soccer sensation, Stephanie Hernandez, shines brightly, earning the coveted title of Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Offensive Player of the Week. In her inaugural season, Hernandez has made a remarkable impact, and her performance is nothing short of extraordinary.

Stephanie Hernandez was the driving force behind SAGU's recent matches, where they managed a split with their opponents. In a remarkable 14-0 victory over Arlington Baptist, Hernandez displayed her offensive prowess by securing her second career hat-trick, netting four goals and providing two crucial assists to lead SAGU to victory. Her contribution was nothing short of spectacular, serving as the linchpin in that commanding win.

Even in defeat, Hernandez's resilience and skill shone through. In a closely contested 2-1 loss to top ranked Mid-America Christian, she managed to score a crucial goal, reducing the Evangels' lead to 2-1 in the 71st minute. 

Throughout the week, Stephanie recorded a total of nine shots, with an impressive six on target, emphasizing her consistency and precision in front of the goal. Her hunger for scoring and assisting goals is evident to anyone who watches her play, making her an indispensable asset to the SAGU Women's Soccer team.
