Oklahoma City – Nelson University senior Montrell Blacknall once again proved why he's among the NAIA's elite, dominating at the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships and leading a strong Nelson Lions showing.
Blacknall was named the SAC Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet for the third consecutive year, tallying a meet-best 42 points across multiple events. He captured the Decathlon title with 5,780 points, won the Pole Vault (4.51m), and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles (15.28). He also placed third in the High Jump (1.94m), fourth in the Javelin (47.48m), and sixth in the Triple Jump (13.43m).
For his efforts, Blacknall was named to the SAC All-Conference First Team, joined by fellow Lions Isaiah Perez Major and Ishmael Ealoms.
