Waxahachie, TX – Nelson University proudly celebrates a significant coaching milestone as Director of Men's and Women's Soccer and Head Coach Cesar España has officially earned his U.S. Soccer National B Coaching License.
This distinguished certification reflects Coach España's commitment to excellence in player and team development at the collegiate level. The U.S. Soccer B License course is a nationally recognized program designed to elevate coaches working with high-level athletes and teams. It equips participants with the tools to create safe, inclusive environments, build developmental training plans, and implement advanced team strategies.
Throughout the course, Coach España developed key competencies including:

Designing and executing three comprehensive training sessions per week

Creating individual player development plans

Aligning tactical game plans with weekly objectives

Facilitating player learning and analyzing team performance

Promoting respect, inclusivity, and belonging within the team environment
By earning his B License, Coach España takes another strong step in his coaching journey joining a respected group of coaches who have shown they can guide competitive programs the right way. His growth reflects the rising standard at Nelson Soccer and the university's focus on supporting our student-athletes both on and off the field.
