Langston, OK – The Nelson University softball team put up big numbers over the weekend, splitting a four-game conference series against Langston University on the road.
After falling 6-1 in the opener, the Lady Lions bounced back in Game 2 with an explosive 12-5 win behind a 17-hit offensive showcase.
Saturday featured more drama and firepower. Nelson dropped a back-and-forth slugfest 13-10 in Game 3, but closed the weekend with a dominant 15-1 run-rule victory to even the series
Over the four games, Nelson racked up 44 total runs and 48 hits, showing off the squad's depth at the plate and resilience in the circle.
The Lady Lions now sit at 15-22 on the season and 10-16 in SAC play, with key matchups ahead as they push toward postseason positioning.
